To My Younger Self:

We’ve come such a long way over the years, and I truly hope that I’m making you proud.

At this moment, I’m in the best place in life that I’ve ever been. The drive that I had to do something great and make my mark in the world is still inside of me. My journey has been full of ups and downs since I was your age, but I still find beauty in what life has to offer such as nature’s beauty, the love of friends and family, and the feeling of having a sense of purpose.

Career Life

You’d be happy to know that I have not given up on my childhood dreams (well, at least not all of them). I never made it to the NBA, but that’s okay. To be 5"10, 160 lbs as a grown man, God obviously had different plans for my life.

Today I play a different game of striving to be the greatest writer that I can be. You were always good at writing, so I decided to double down on my strength and make a career of it. Since I have committed to writing, I have published and sold my first book, performed spoken word around the country, collaborated with musicians, and written plenty of articles that have brought value to others. I have not lost your desire to feed that creative spark that was always inside of you (or us for that matter).
